Tattoo ink caps are used to hold the pigment during the tattooing process. These are very small holders that are bought in bulk because they are designed for single use. This is useful in several different ways.
The first use of tattoo ink caps is with keeping the work environment sanitary. The needle, which touches the client's skin, does not need to be anywhere near the actual bottle of ink. Also, any remaining ink can simply be trashed with the cap. Leftover ink should not be returned to the bottle, so it is more conveniently discarded with these supplies.
Tattoo ink caps are also designed for easy access. Though they are small, they are designed to be wide and shallow rather than narrow and tall. This allows the artist to conveniently dip the pen as needed. They are generally see-through so that the artist is always aware of what color they contain. They also come in many sizes to meet different job needs.
