Henna tattoo supplies are simple and easy to use making henna tattooing one of the easiest ways to adorn the body with non-permanent designs. The supplies include the dried henna leaves which are typically ground down into a fine powder as well as a solution to mix it with. Water works very well but lemon juice is a traditional and preferred method although there are many liquids that can be used.
Other henna tattoo supplies include the applicator with a tip. This is where the mixed henna is put before it is applied to the skin. It is small enough to be easily held in one hand and has an open tip at the bottom. Simply squeeze the bag to slowly squeeze the henna onto the skin. Different sized tips can be used for smaller and larger lines. A cheap way to make an applicator is to simply put the henna into a baggie and cut off a small corner.
Henna tattoo supplies often include a set of stencils and drawings that can be used as guides. Stencils can be simply laid onto the skin in the desired area and then the henna is applied over the entire stencil. After it is carefully removed it leaves a crisp design that can last for weeks. Stencils can be made out of many different materials such as poster board, but non-porous materials such as plastic and Mylar often work better.
